I WAS THERE ®

We spotted this large South African White Rhino in a field walking alone. He came toward us and my husband and I were able to photograph him as he approached. He never appeared threatened though, and stopped periodically to graze. The White Rhino lives on Africa’s grassy plains, where they sometimes socialize with as many as 12 individuals. Rhinos have very good hearing and a sharp sense of smell.     ~NEILL
